The study explored Physical Education teachers’ perspectives on implementing swimming and aquatic activities in schools with pools, involving six teachers from four institutions (two public, two private). Semi-structured interviews with 17 questions were conducted remotely, and data were analyzed through content analysis. Despite the infrastructure, challenges include lack of resources, limited time, need for ongoing training, and workload overload. Including aquatic safety content in the curriculum is seen as crucial for teaching survival skills, but its implementation is challenging, worsened by the New High School reform, which limits its feasibility in basic education.
