differents performative strategies in Recôncavo da Bahia

The article presents a reflection on aspects of three Afro-Brazilian cultural practices from Recôncavo da Bahia: Bembé do Mercado, Nego Fugido and Festa da Boa Morte. With an interdisciplinary approach, the text focuses on the performative dimension of these popular expressions, whose great relevance occurs in multiple dimensions: religious, cultural, social, historical, aesthetic and political. The study, among other references, dialogues with the work of Leda Maria Martins, mainly with her concept of oralitura. Without ethnographic intentions, the work is mainly dedicated to a sensitive approach to the main strategies that can be considered in the light of studies in performing arts.
