This article analyzes the experience of tripartite social dialogue in the domestic work sector in Argentina, with the aim of reflecting on the entire process of the National Commission for Domestic Work’s operation, 10 years after its launch. The achievements attained as a result of the agreements signed are evaluated, paying particular attention to the demands raised, the positions of the various actors involved, and the dynamics of the negotiations. The analysis unfolds along two dimensions: first, the results achieved in terms of wages, and second, the agreements reached regarding other labor demands. The conclusions drawn from this study provide a basis for developing recommendations to replicate this type of social dialogue in other countries, given the limited number of existing examples internationally.
Keywords: domestic workers; social dialogue; collective bargaining; working conditions; Argentina.
