This article investigates the interrelations between migration of meanings, transmediation, self-citation and musical ekphrasis as applied to contemporary musical creation. Through the analytical study of two hybrid electroacoustic works—The Eerie Stillness of Desolation for piano and tape and Ghost Words for double bass and tape—composed during an artistic residency with Da_Sh Ensemble, Madrid, the paper examines how acoustic writing and electroacoustic materials jointly construct the architectural, semantic, and affective dimensions of each work. Central to this investigation are processes of self-citation, recycling, and transformation of pre-existing materials, alongside newly created sonic elements conceived specifically for each composition. Drawing upon theoretical frameworks of intertextuality (Bloom, Straus, López-Cano), musical ekphrasis (Bruhn), and contemporary theories of transmediation and migration of meanings, the study proposes an integrated analytical model for understanding hybrid musical practices within a multisemiotic and multimediatic cultural environment
