In Ecuador, the study of liturgical-musical treasures has been displaced by musicological interest in indigenous music, which is extremely valid, but overlooks some inherited Hispanic traditions. This study focuses on the analysis of the liturgical-musical practices of the cycle of the Proper of the Saints included in the choirbook collection housed in the Convent of San Francisco de Quito, comparing their relationship with collections held in the National Library of Spain and the National Library of Mexico. In this way, it aims to highlight a Hispanic acculturation inclined towards such ecclesiastical practices. Finally, through a comparative and statistical device, this work synthesizes some affinities that could be helpful for future studies along this research topic.
