This article aims to discuss the narrator’s point of view in Never Let Me Go (2016), by Kazuo Ishiguro. The study examines the novelist’s narrators based on texts by Menand (2005), Lodge (2011) and Currie (2010). Some ideas on ambiguity and ethics in contemporary fiction are reviewed from the work by Serpell (2014). Next, the point of view is considered as it is discussed by Leite (1997), Arrigucci Jr. (1998) and E. M. Forster (2005). Lastly, the point of view in Ishiguro’s novel is interpreted highlighting the flawed perception of the narrator, which is crucial to producing ambiguous meanings.
