Inquiry about the inquiry: a historiographical model, a romanesque model

The article analyzes the inquiry across the centuries, focusing on its relationship with literature. It examines the history and meanings of the term between the seventeenth and nineteenth centuries, as well as its philosophical dimension linked to modern law. This trajectory allows for a historiographical understanding of the formation of new paradigms in systematic studies and shows how, in the nineteenth century, the author’s sensory experience with the real world enriched literary and journalistic production.
