The Project We Propose! implemented in Pernambuco since 2021, seeks to promote territorial citizenship in basic education by encouraging students to analyze local problems and propose geographical solutions. Territorial citizenship involves students' commitment to just territories, identifying everyday issues such as urban occupation and environmental management in their neighborhoods. In the Pernambuco context, the "amazing dive" adapts this approach to local regionalism, fostering youth protagonism through case studies and intervention proposals. The project transforms the teaching of Geography into a tool for active citizenship, making students researchers of their reality and promoting local changes. In Pernambuco, it contributes to critical thinking and prevents school dropout, connecting universities and public schools.
